Der weibliche Körper ist eine Gussform für Idealvorstellungen und Projektionsfläche unterschiedlicher, gesellschaftsspezifischer Erwartungen. Seine Bewertung und Normierung führt zur Objektifizierung der Frau. Die Video-Collage »covered« basiert auf den Aufnahmen einer Haute-Couture-Modenschau. Indem die Mannequins in Umkehrung der kapitalistischen Konsumlogik nur ihre unbedeckten Körperteile präsentieren, wird die Verletzbarkeit des weiblichen Körpers sichtbar. Sie bewegen sich durch und auf einer statischen Ebene zu einem monotonen und harten Rhythmus.

The video collage »covered« is based on the shots of a haute couture fashion show. By presenting only their uncovered body parts in reversal of the capitalist logic of consumption, the vulnerability of the female body becomes visible.
